Medical devices
Interfaces for clinical workflows.
UX and UI for medical device interfaces. Endoflators and Endomat select.
Overview
Medical device interfaces are used in demanding clinical environments. My work connected research into clinical workflows with information architecture, interaction concepts and UI design for safety-critical applications.
Selected public visuals are shown for context. Project details are condensed to respect confidentiality; the images do not document every stage of my contribution.
The challenge
Support surgical workflows with clear interfaces, understandable information and interactions suited to physicians and operating-room staff.
My approach
- Research user needs and workflows in clinical environments.
- Develop information architecture and interaction flows for medical devices.
- Create wireframes, prototypes and screen-optimized UI designs.
- Test usability with clinical users and iterate with engineering and product teams.
Outcome
The design work aimed to reduce cognitive load and improve usability through structured information and clear interaction design. Specifications and documentation supported the handoff to development.
